Connect with a Public Defender in a safe and welcoming space. This session will include a special presentation by the Children's Best Interest Project on the importance of keeping families together. We will review the Illinois law that requires courts to consider the effects of a caregiver’s absence when determining custody and sentencing. Advanced registration is not required.
