Credit for Change Community Forum

Credit for Change is a statewide campaign to restore meaningful sentencing credit for good behavior and participation in rehabilitative programming for people serving terms of years in Illinois prisons. The Community Forum will bring together stakeholders for a conversation about Credit for Change and what this reform could mean for Illinois. We hope you will join us to learn more about the proposal, hear directly from people affected by Illinois' current sentencing policies, and discuss how Credit for Change can promote rehabilitation, strengthen families and communities, improve mental health and safety within our correctional system, and reduce the high costs of incarceration to Illinois taxpayers. The forum is open to the public, but registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
