The Bridgeview Courthouse is closed Tuesday, July 28, due to a power outage. See information below for how cases will be heard.
1. All criminal cases scheduled for initial appearance and Electronic Monitoring (EM) violations of conditions of release shall be heard at the Sixth Municipal District Markham Courthouse located at 16501 S. Kedzie Parkway Markham, Illinois 60428;
2. Felony preliminary hearings shall be continued to August 4th, 2026;
3. All other felony cases shall be continued to August 4th, 2026;
4. All traffic and misdemeanor cases shall be continued to September 3, 2026;
5. Initial appearances in domestic violence cases shall be heard at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse located at 2600 S. California Ave., Chicago, IL 60608;
6. New petitions for emergency civil protective orders shall be heard at the Domestic Violence Courthouse located at 555 W Harrison St, Chicago, IL 60607;
7. Civil Order of Protection return cases shall be continued to August 13th, 2026;
8. All other domestic violence cases shall be continued to August 4th, 2026; and
9. Civil continuances will be given by court order per the judge presiding in the case.
